Nick Cave Soundsuits, University of North Texas on the Square

Renowned artist, Nick Cave capped his period as artist-in-residence at UNT with a free exhibition of his Soundsuits and a collaborative performance piece featuring 30 newly created horse-like Soundsuits, which were made and performed with the help of UNT students. Cave’s Soundsuits — wearable sculptures that make sounds when the materials brush together — have been lauded internationally. Unified Fine Arts was integral in preparing this complex show. We were on site to unpack the boxed Soundsuits, assemble all mannequins, place and install each mannequin per the curator’s instructions and assemble the Soundsuits on the mannequins once they were placed.
