Bartolome Esteban Murillo “The Immaculate Conception” 1655-60

Installation on the landing in the main entry of the museum. The installation required 8 fine art handlers using a manually operated hydraulic lift. In order for the work to be presented at its best for both floors, we installed it at a slight angle. We used lumber to reinforce the wall behind the work, and in order to create the angle, we suspended it using chains. The bottom was secured to the wall with an angle iron shelf.
